Rev. Taylor Lee Duty, 82, of Omar, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Trinity Healthcare in Williamson. He was born February 7, 1932 at Omar, the son of the late Stewart and Lucy Marcum Duty. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Duty; one brother, Thomas Duty; and four sisters, Jesse Hall, Eula Mae Bartley, Polly Vance and Myrtle Tolliver. Taylor was a retired coal miner, a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended the Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Larry (Pam) Duty of Chauncey and Terry Duty of Beckley; four daughters, Dreama (Don) Potter and Donna Deskins of Whitesville, Sandra (Mike) Anderson of Chatteroy and Pamela (George) Cantrell of Varney; three brothers, Harrison (Roseanne) Duty, Jimmy (Sue) Adams and Bobby (Wanda) Vanderpool; seven sisters Sarah Adams, Carrie (Johnny) Meade, Joannie (Buddy) Ferguson, Patsy (Ralph) Parsons, Brooke Casey, Janet (Roy) Chambers and Lucille (Jay) Hadden; 20 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren. Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church, at Chauncey, with the Rev. Charles Blankenship and Rev. Alford Setzer officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel.
