Rosa Prater

Rosa Prater, 70 of Varney, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, September 29th, 2019 at her residence. She was born on December 15th, 1948 at Ben Creek, WV and was the daughter of Mason Browning and Janie Gibson Browning. She was a faithful member to the Williamson Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra Browning Blankenship and Ruby Haggard.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes one son, Lonnie (Tonia) Dean of Varney, WV; brothers, Mason (Sue) Browning Jr. of Ikes Fork, WV, Tony Eugene Browning (Jackie Clevenger) of Belfry, KY, Clifford (Kathy) Browning of Ben Creek, WV, and Stevie Joe (Vicki) Browning of Gilbert, WV; sisters, Marie (Delbert) Thomas of Chicago, Yvonne Kay (Delmas) Blankenship of Beech Creek, WV, and Gail (Wayne Jr.) Browning of Ben Creek, WV; grandchildren, Lucas Dean of Meador, WV, Kaylyn (Nathan) McKinney of Severville, TN, Ciara Renae Dean of Varney, WV; special friend and caregiver, Gavin Dillon of Varney, WV, and a host of family and friends who will all love and miss her.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at Williamson Church of God with Bishop Earl Coleman, Pastor Nathaniel Gibson, and Rev. Willard Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Dean Cemetery at Mystery Mountain, WV. She will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 pm Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 also at the church with a special service starting at 7:00 pm. Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV is honored to be serving the family with arrangements.
