Russell Lee Gore

Russell Lee Gore, 57 of Chapmanville, WV departed from this life on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division in Charleston, WV. He was born on September 3rd, 1967, in Logan County, WV and was the son of the late Donald and Aliza (Collins) Gore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Gore and one sister, Donetta Vance.

He was a retired groundsman of IBEW Local 317.

Those left to cherish his memory includes his loving wife, Sandra Kaye Gore; two sons, Donald Lee (Haley) Gore, and Trey (Elizabeth) Scaggs; two daughters, Jala Gore, and Lori (Andy) Gardner; grandkids, Pyper, Wyatt, Dean, Delilah, Lincoln, Anakin, Lucas, and Brixton; special aunt, Barb; special nieces, Shell, and Brandi; and a host of other family and friends who will love and miss him.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 1st, 2024, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Collins and Dakota Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Manns Knob. Pallbearers will include Hank Dingess, Lee Gore, Trevor Cooper, Rook Brumfield, Herby Bryant, and Steven Ray Hensley. Honorary pallbearers will include Jerry Gore and David Gore.

A visitation will begin two hours prior to the funeral service.
