Shirley A. (Clemens) Elmore, 69 of Holden, WV departed this Sunday, August 11th, 2019 at Logan Regional Medical Center. Born on February 18th, 1950 in Ethel, WV to the late Russell Clemens and Burnzia (Viars) Clemens. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by three brothers, one sister, and one great-grandchild, Natasha Spry.
Those left to cherish her memory includes her husband, Larry Rodger Elmore; three daughters, Audrey Hinkle, Connie Toney, and Belinda (Darren) Workman; one sister, Nellie Sue Cavender; grandchildren, Jeffrey Spry, Kimberly Laws, Hollie Frye, David Toney, Hannah Frye, and Hope Diamond; great-grandchildren, Chloe Smith, Markez Bryant, Trenton Laws, William Rocky Pauley, Lamont Edwards. To know Shirley was to love her. She was so giving and loved the outdoors and her grandchildren. Her grandchildren brightened every single day.
Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at Holden Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV. She will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Collins Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff, doctors, and nurses as well. Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV is assisting Mrs. Shirley Elmore’s family with arrangements.
