Shirley Irene Tomblin

Shirley Irene (Jones) Tomblin, 66 of Chapmanville, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her residence. She was born April 27, 1952 in Summersville, WV to the late Stanley and Verna Jones. She was of the Church of Christ faith. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by three sisters: Pamela Jones, Diana Jones, and Donna Jones and one son: Kenneth Gordon Tomblin Jr. (Angel).

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her spouse: Kenneth Gordon Tomblin Sr.; one son: Johnnie (Melissa) Tomblin of Duncan Fork, WV; two daughters: Madesie (Nem) Vance of Chapmanville, WV and Robin (Michael) Olshewski of Ohio; two brothers: Billy and Chuck Jones both of Ohio; three sisters: Patty (Garry) Lipinski of Ohio, Nina (Larry) Smerk of Ohio, Linda (Mike) Jones of Ohio; seventeen grandchildren: Kelly (Oscar), Tasha (Joel), Eric, Kayla, Hailey, Brittany, Brandon, Kristen, Sharmane, Michael, Kenwood, Tyler, Hannah, Jacob, Austin, Cody, and Sunshine; twelve great-grandchildren; and a special friend: Sheila Bradley and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church at Dingess, WV with Pastor Sid Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV. Shirley will be carried to her final resting place by: Johnnie, Nem, Joel, Jacob, Eric, and Nathan. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 PM Friday, January 11, 2019 also at the church.
