Thomas "Freddie" Gore

Thomas “Freddie” Gore, 84 of Chapmanville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 30^th, 2024, at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 12^th, 1939, and was the son of the late Alva and Vida (Farley) Gore.

He was a member of Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church and loved his church and church family. He was retired from IBEW Local 317 as a lineman for sixty-one years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Gore and Eldon Gore; and one sister, Blanche Dingess.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his wife, Barbara (Collins) Gore; one son, Thomas “Tommy” (Bobbie) Gore; one daughter, Beverly (Wandell) Lambert; two brothers, David Gore and Freelin Gore; two sisters, Freda (Donzie) Sowards and Barbara (Jim) Moore; three grandchildren, Justin (Karen) Lambert, Shane (Chelcie) Gore, and Courtney Gore; five great grandchildren, Braiden Dowdy, River Adkins, Kolton Johnson, Izaiah Thomas Gore, and Lila Shae Gore; special friend, Naman Hensley; wood cutting buddy, Mitch Hensley; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 6:00 pm Saturday, February 3^rd, 2024, at Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, February 4^th, 2024, at the church with Pastor Ronnie Collins and Rev. Stacy Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in Gore Farley Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Shane Gore, Larry Collins, Dakoda Collins, Danny Gore, Mitch Hensley, Justin Lambert, David Earl Gore, and Terry Gore. Honorary pallbearers will include Thomas Gore, Wandell Lambert, Naman Hensley, and Russell Gore.
