Tommy Marcum, 79 of Mount Gay, WV departed this life Friday, February 16, 2024, at home. He was born, September 4, 1944. He was the son of the late Oscar Lee Marcum and Phyllis (Newsome) Marcum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life Flora McCloud and Joan Kay McCloud, two brothers Vessie and Curtis Marcum.
Those left to cherish his loving memories include his grandson whom he resided with, Wesley (Kristin and Gavin) Flint; Stepdaughters: Judy (Robert) Gore, JoAnne Moore, Peggy (French) Burke; Son, Timmy (Stacy) Vance; Stepson: John (Laura) McCloud as well as Grandchildren: Keshia (Joshua) Vance, Jody (Crystal) Moore, Jay McCloud, Jeremy McCloud, Drew, and Derek; Great Grandchildren: Alex and Jacob Vance, Gavin Flint, Nate and Sam Moore; Sisters: Bonnie Robinson and Loraine Justice. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
We would like to thank Dignity Hospice and staff, caregivers Judy Gore, Kandy Furrow and Kristin Flint, family and friends that called, stopped to check on him, plus all that have contributed. He will be missed!
Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to the memorial service at 1:00 pm.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 19, 2024, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Meeker officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home, Inc. of Switzer, WV.
