Virginia Mae Ellixson

Virginia Mae Ellixson was born on October 19, 1925 and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019. Her passion in life was serving and helping others. She was a faithful member of the Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Chauncey, WV for over sixty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Okey and daughter, Selby. Her parents, Trussie and Lora Hoylman and four of six siblings also preceded her.

She leaves behind two children: Sandra Ellixson of Huntington, WV and Sue (Mike) Glover of Baltimore, MD. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. All of her family and friends will miss her smile and her presence. 

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Sunday, July 14th, 2019 at Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will include family and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, July 13th, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel. Collins Funeral Home Inc. is assisting the Ellixson family with arrangements.
